You’ve probably seen wedding films built around directed moments, serious faces and quirky poses. It works for some people, but for others it never quite feels natural.
Being pulled into that can interrupt the moments you’ll actually want to remember, taking you away from the people you’re there to celebrate with and turning something real into something that feels a little forced.
I believe there’s more to a wedding film than just a series of perfectly framed shots of the two of you. It’s everything happening around you - the people, the conversations, the laughter, and all the moments in between that you didn’t even realise were unfolding at the time.
That’s why I’ve developed an approach centered around presence over performance, where nothing is staged or forced. I blend in, dressing the part and respecting the environment with a minimal, considered setup that allows everything to feel relaxed and uninterrupted for you and your guests.
There’s no pulling you away for long periods or turning moments into something they’re not. You’re free to move through the day as it naturally unfolds, spending time with the people you’re there for, while everything is captured as it happens.
Most couples say they hardly notice I’m there, and that’s exactly how it should be. You can stay present in it all, knowing it’s being captured honestly, without distraction.
For the last few years, I’ve been trusted to capture weddings across the UK for couples who want their day to feel natural, unforced and true to them.
Ever since my first wedding, I’ve been drawn to the spontaneity of a wedding day - the parts that unfold naturally and can’t be planned. Those are the moments that shape each wedding into what it is. Nothing staged, posed, or made to look like every other wedding.
Over the years, I’ve refined my work by leaning into those moments rather than trying to control them. In a world that often leans towards polished and performative, I believe there’s more value in what’s real. It’s those moments - the unplanned, unnoticed, and often imperfect - that end up meaning the most when you look back on it all.
While weddings take me all over the UK, home is in South Wales where I live with my partner Bec and our chocolate lab, Winston. We’re usually off on a camping trip, out walking, or finding somewhere to watch the sunset.
